Senior Network Engineer

Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our complex network environments across industrial plant facilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing segmented networks and delivering high-quality network solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability in an operational technology setting.

Minimum Years Experience: 8 Years

5 Areas of Responsibility:

– Plan, design, document, and deploy WAN, LAN, data center, and cloud networks, ensuring optimal connectivity and security.

– Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.

– Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and proactively implement solutions to optimize efficiency and reliability.

– Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure network security best practices, compliance with industry standards, and protection against cyber threats.

– Provide guidance to junior engineers, create and maintain network documentation, and work cross-functionally with internal teams and external service providers.

5 Key Skills Required:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience, with 7+ years in network engineering within enterprise or industrial environments.

– Strong experience with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), SD-WAN technologies, and network monitoring tools. Fortinet and Azure Network certifications preferred.
– Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, implement proactive improvements, and manage upgrades with minimal disruptions.

– Excellent ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, with strong documentation and project management skills.
– Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining high performance and security standards.
