What is the difference between a Global Editor and a Regional Author?

Both write posts, the only difference is the Global Editor of a particular Track oversees the posts of the 3 Regional Authors for each Track.

How will this benefit me?

The benefits are many and include increasing your profile to a global audience both Contractors and End Users/ IT Staff within organisations that use Oracle Apps and increasing your revenues as well as gaining and transitioning knowledge to and from other Global Editors and Regional Authors.

What type of experience do I need?

To be considered you need a number of years experience with Oracle Applications with either functional, technical, management or user experience within the Track that you will Edit / Author within.

What level of time commitment is required?

Approximately 30 - 45 minutes per week for a Regional Author and 45 - 60 minutes per week for a Global Editor.

How is the advertising revenue split between the Global Editor and 3 Regional Authors for each Track?

40% will go to the Global Editor and 20% for each Regional Author.

Do OracleContractors.com make any money from the advertising on the Blog?

No, the only revenue stream at OracleContractors.com is from our Contractor Resourcing Service - all other features and benefits we offer are free of charge.

How many times a week do I need to post?

Little / often "nuggets" draws the audience on a regular basis therefore a minimum 1 post per week but ideally 2 - 3 posts per week. It is worth bearing in mind the more posts a Track has the the more traffic the Track will get and more advertising spaces become available, thereby increasing potential revenues.

Is there is any restriction on content?

As long as you keep it clean and relevant to Blog the content is up to you. Editors approve or deny content as they see fit, so only approved content will be published.

What Blogging Software is used for the OracleContractors.com Blog?

We us a highly customized version of WordPress.

How easy is Word Press to use in terms of Writing, Managing and Editing posts?

It is very easy and takes no more than 15 minutes to learn

Can I contribute adhoc articles if I am not a Global Editor or Regional Author?

Yes you can.

Can I be a Global Editor or Regional Author if I am am not working through OracleContractors.com?

Yes, OracleContractors.com is provided for the benefit of Contractors whoever you work through and will be more than happy if your only involvement is by contribution to the Blog.

Can I be a Global Editor or Regional Author if I am not a Contractor?

Unfortunately not, but you can contribute articles.

What if I do not wish to continue?

Just let us know and we will find someone else to take up your position. There are no ties or contractual obligations and we understand that your work commitments change over time.
